East of the sun and west of the moon, Kay Nielson.

This Norwegian fairytale evoked feelings of being a child, believing in the magic of folklore, imagining worlds where kings ride polar bears under the moonlight. This style of illustration strongly influences my own practice.

I read this book solely on the tube. It made every journey lighter and I've found that it has come to play a large role in my quest to share my art work and words.
